Personal Background

My parents were self employed for over 30+ years so I understand the value of hard work, strong work ethics, reliability and customer care. When people are treated right, they want others to experience the same treatment. A "word of mouth" referral is the best compliment anyone can give.

I grew up in a very large family where communication and organization was key to daily survival. I have six brothers, one sister, a son, one adorable grandson, numerous extended relatives and a very energetic black lab.

My family and my faith are very important to me and I try to lead by example through my actions, attitude amp; daily life decisions. I love to go camping, riding bikes, being creative, gardening,cooking, watching football and spending time with family amp; friends.

Experience

I have 17 years of experience in customer care, needs assessment, setting goals and establishing achievable plans of action while working for various social service or community agencies in Licking County. My work experience includes working with the homeless, veterans, expecting mothers, low income families, child development for ages 0-3 years, the mentally amp; physically challenged and juvenile court probations.

Prior to working in social service, I worked as a Shift manager for Avis Rent a Car where I supervised a staff of 150+ employees regarding their daily duties amp; responsibilities. While working with an Architecture amp; Interior Design firm I gained experience in spacial configuration, decorating schemes, fabric amp; hard material selections, selection of furniture and communicating with fabricators and master craftsman.

Community

I'm a member of the Newark Church of the Nazarene and I participate in the Bridge Choir, Operation Gear Up (free back to school supplies),Woven Women, Life Group, and the Hospitality Team. Currently, I'm a board member with the Civic Engagement Center of Licking County,American Red Cross and the Newark Church of the Nazarene and I volunteer with the Million March against Child Abuse to help bring awareness to prevent and one day end child abuse.
